Dancer Treats | Green Smoothie Bowl Bliss

Smoothie bowls are one of my favourite snacks and are so easy to make. A level up from your standard smoothie, smoothie bowls allow you to incorporate an extra dose of nutritional goodness by including a variety of toppings to sprinkle on top. This recipe is a long standing go-to of mine and is a great source of fibre, healthy fats, protein and antioxidants, supporting that hard working body of yours! It covers most bases being dairy, gluten and nut free, and is also vegan friendly. Super creamy, it leaves you wanting more!

Ingredients

  • 1 handful of frozen mango

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 2 handfuls of baby spinach

  • 1/2 an avocado

  • 1 1/2 cups of milk of choice (I use coconut milk)

  • 1 tbsp of flaxseed meal (this can also be swapped with chia seeds or hemp seeds)

    * I also add an extra scoop of collagen powder but this isn’t essential. You could also use a protein powder if you have one you regularly use.

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Add more milk or water if a thinner consistency is required.

  2. Pour into a bowl and add your favourite toppings. This one has goji berries, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and sunflower seeds.
