Meet the women behind the Atelier Collection

After weeks of anticipation, our latest Collection Atelier has landed in store and online for all to enjoy.  And now that the secret’s out, it’s time to introduce you to the five inspiring women that are the collective face of the Atelier campaign.

As a company that is both founded in Australia, and produces garments that are designed and made locally – when it came to launching a collection of soft performance wear tailored for the dance teacher, it felt like the perfect creative cohesion to introduce Atelier alongside women who are all leading forces in the Australian dance industry. After all, our company itself was created by three incredibly driven, resourceful women, so we know all too well what a little thing called ‘girl power’ can do…

And as a result of Energetiks being so warmly embraced by the Australian dance community, we’ve been able to continue supporting our local industry for the past three decades. Now it feels as though we've come full-circle with the release of Atelier, a collection that gives back to the teachers, choreographers and professionals that contribute so much to the world of dance.

These are the #atelierwomen

Left to right: Kate Meade, Melanie Gard, Karen Malek, Lucinda Dunn & Lucy Doherty

Uniquely inspirational, not just in the dance community, but to all. Each of these women exemplify the virtues of great work ethic, humility, ambition, vision, kindness and virtuosity, and their combined impact stretches across many decades, and spans industries from education to arts. They are our mentors and role models - and the teaching, knowledge and inspiration they can offer extends far beyond the walls of any classroom.

Their names are Karen Malek, Lucinda Dunn, Kate Meade, Lucy Doherty and Melanie Gard, and whilst you may not be acquainted with them all by name, you are acquainted with their work. Meet the Atelier Women:

Off duty style: The classic colour palette and timeless designs of the Atelier garments makes them easily mixed with other wardrobe favourites to create five personal looks as unique as the women who wear them.
